Summary:
Looking at university curricula one can realise that topics related to nonlinear studies shrink continuously - this is specifically visible in the EE and CS programs in Europe and the US. Nonlinear studies which are vital for any kind of science are considered by many as topics for pure mathematicians and physicists. Fortunately scientists, researchers and professors act on an international scale thus being able to create an effective network, create projects within international research programs, organise workshops and conferences, exchange students and young researchers, advertising the importance of the domain to others. Part of this wonderful cooperation exists thanks to the “non-linear community” in Japan.
